Further Development

The final designs differed very little from my original concepts. I did add more details - for example, adding some contemporary elements like gold chains and vines around the legs to underline the fantastical nature of the character, and refining my fabric choices which would alter the silhouette and structure (namely choosing to illustrate the corset and shoes as if they were made with embossed suede). As these were A3 illustrations done by hand I chose to draw them as if they were currently being worn, allowing me to draw a dynamic pose for each one rather than a simple image of the garment itself.
